Perspective

PERSPECTIVE IS IMPORTANT

Was Jesus speaking only to the men who were alive when he was speaking in the following scripture?

Matt 23:
33 “Serpents, offspring of vipers, how are YOU to flee from the judgment of Ge·hen′na? 34 For this reason, here I am sending forth to YOU prophets and wise men and public instructors. Some of them YOU will kill and impale, and some of them YOU will scourge in YOUR synagogues and persecute from city to city; 35 that there may come upon YOU all the righteous blood spilled on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zech·a·ri′ah son of Bar·a·chi′ah, whom YOU murdered between the sanctuary and the altar. 36 Truly I say to YOU, All these things will come upon this generation.

Were these men of this time period the only ones that in the future would kill and impale the prophets and wise men and public instructors?

These men were those that did cause the death of our Lord and Savior Jesus. And some of the apostles and men of faith.

Were these men responsible for Abels death or all the righteous blood up to the time of Zechariah?

Cain is the one who killed Abel.

Down through the centuries it was wicked men of different time periods that killed and spilled righteous blood right up to the time period that we are living in.

Rev. 6:
9 And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those slaughtered because of the word of God and because of the witness work that they used to have. 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying: “Until when, Sovereign Lord holy and true, are you refraining from judging and avenging our blood upon those who dwell on the earth?” 11 And a white robe was given to each of them; and they were told to rest a little while longer, until the number was filled also of their fellow slaves and their brothers who were about to be killed as they also had been.

The 11th chapter of Hebrews gives a partial list of the men of faith up to that time. From then to now there are others who are on the list of the men and women of faith whom have attained to repentance.

Since the time of the first lie there is a generating of wicked ones whom are the children of satan. This generating will continue until after the 1000 years is over and the last opposer is thrown into gehena.

During this same period of time there has been and will continue to be a generating of men and women who are declared righteous because of faith and repentance of sinful tendancies.

Contextually and in reality it is important that we see the big picture of what the Kingdom of God will accomplish.

Eventually all those who oppose and who refuse to repent and except with faith the provision of Jehovah sending his only-begotten Son to die and thus make a payment for thier sins will end up in gehena.

Our loving Heavenly Father does not delight in this.

2 Pet. 3:
8 However, let this one fact not be escaping YOUR notice, beloved ones, that one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. 9 Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with YOU because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance. 10 Yet Jehovah’s day will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a hissing noise, but the elements being intensely hot will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be discovered.

But as shown in the above scripture it will occur so that there can be true peace and happiness in all of his universal creation.

The generation of wickedness will be destroyed.

The generation of righteousness will be preserved for life eternal.
